Description:
This comprehensive course equips licensed nurses with the essential skills and knowledge required for certification as a Director of Staff Development (DSD) and as an instructor for Certified Nurse Assistant Precertification Training Programs. Participants will explore the roles and responsibilities of the DSD, review regulatory laws, create effective lesson plans, learn to conduct and prepare for audits, and foster positive working relationships in a nursing environment. This course prepares participants for leadership roles in nursing education and staff development.
Course objectives:
- Understand the primary duties and responsibilities of a Director of Staff Development and instructor.
- Master the legal regulations governing DSDs and CNA instructor roles. Develop comprehensive lesson plans and course outlines tailored to nursing education.
- Conduct internal audits effectively and prepare for state audits with confidence.
